These shorts are based on 1940s US Navy denim pants, but adapted for easy wear. They feature a classic herringbone fabric made by weaving pre-dyed cotton and linen threads of different counts in alternating warp and weft directions. Although relatively thin, the fabric has been treated with a washer process to create a puffy texture due to the difference in shrinkage rates between cotton and linen. The "wrapped" construction, which eliminates side seams as seen in US Navy pants, is incorporated, resulting in a silhouette with a comfortable amount of room from the hips to the hem. The simple design features three patch pockets, and the waist is elasticized with a drawstring for easy wear. These shorts offer both comfort and a classic feel.
