A jacket with a relaxed silhouette that combines Kurume Kasuri, an Important Intangible Cultural Property, and high-quality domestic linen.

As the item name "HAORI" suggests, this is an outerwear piece that looks great just by throwing it on.

The body and sleeves are hand woven, while the front strings are made with machine woven "Kurume Kasuri" fabric.

A one-tone design creates a sense of unity, while the fabrics are combined like patchwork to add a design element.

"Kurume Kasuri" is a type of fabric that reproduces patterns by tying threads according to a design.

Kasuri craftsmen place great importance on how closely they can reproduce designs, but this hand-woven fabric was created by prioritizing the sensibilities of experienced craftsmen, without being bound by designs, in order to express the inherent beauty of Kurume Kasuri.

Additionally, the unique softness and firmness are qualities that can only be achieved by hand-woven fabric.

By carefully hand-tying each thread, dyeing it in three different shades of indigo, and slowly weaving it, we were able to create a beautiful indigo gradation within the irregular weave.

In addition to wearing it with the strings on the front hanging down, we also recommend tying them randomly to enjoy changing the silhouette.

Another great feature is that it can be worn by both men and women.

These are lifetime garments unique to CATHRI, which creates fashion that can be loved for a long time, as if cherishing tradition.
