■ Design
This BEAMS PLUS button-down shirt features the Madras check pattern, a traditional pattern made in the Madras region (now Chennai) in southeastern India. The six classic buttons on the front are slightly offset to create a well-balanced look, and the shirt is characterized by its long length and unique A-line silhouette.
■Details
It features a left chest pocket with a V-stitch and a collar design that is suitable for both formal and casual wear. The side seams are narrow (3mm) and the overall number of stitches is set at 18 per 3cm for a balanced look. All processes, including pattern matching, are completed by skilled craftsmen in Japan. The bottoms of both sides have a + mark rivet, which adds a distinctive BEAMS PLUS accent.
■Size
This relaxed pattern has more room in the chest and shoulders than regular BEAMS PLUS button-down shirts. The sizing makes it easy to incorporate into casual styles.
■ Material
The madras check pattern is woven using a power loom (semi-automatic loom) with 40s x 40s thread count. It is slowly dried in the sun, giving it a three-dimensional texture. It is also breathable and quick-drying.
