The dyeing name "Sekisou" is an original name, and the correct dyeing technique is "Hikizome (dyeing by hand with a brush)". The name comes from "lamination" and comes from the fact that various dyes and techniques such as ink, chemical dyes, and discharge printing are repeatedly layered. Among the several dyeing series of Funatabi Atelier, this series is less reproducible and more freely expressed. Rather than completing the work in one go, the artist leaves it for a while and then adds to it again after a while. The patterns aim to have colors and shapes that resemble natural phenomena that are created randomly around us.
