The founder is Jim Marshall. He started tap dancing at an early age and eventually started making a living as a drummer. Opened the first Marshall store in 1960. At first, they only sold drums, but as they listened to the guitarists who came to the store, they realized that they needed an amplifier, and in 1962 they created their first amplifier. The history of the brand begins from there.
