The Skyflyer, released in 1960, is a masterpiece of lighting that has been nominated three times at the Milan Triennale.
Yuki Nummi, who is adept at using the properties of materials to create his designs, was a pioneer of plastic lighting at the time. His designs are innovative and have a timeless beauty.
It has both direct and indirect light, and is designed so that the light source does not touch your eyes directly no matter what angle you look at it from. It has two disc-shaped shades, one above the other, that appear to be floating in the air. The shades are suspended by a ball chain, and the soft light that shines through the milky acrylic highlights the smooth lines of the entire light, creating a stunning sense of floating.

This small size is perfect for the dining room. Its elegant and classic form means that even if multiple lamps are installed in the same space, it will not look out of place.
In Finland, it is also known by the name "Lokki", which means seagull, and is familiar to many as it comes from the seagulls flying high in the clear sky under the blazing sun.
