Product description
Beautiful form and gentle presence
Born from the long history of Uradome ware in Tottori Prefecture, this simple and modern mug carries on the tradition while fitting into modern life. Its rounded shape and beautiful white porcelain make it a great addition to everyday life. Its elegant appearance also makes it a great gift.

[Regarding the use of pottery and porcelain]
●If you rinse the pan with water before serving food on it, it will be less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, be sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
If you are concerned about stains or odor transfer, one preventative measure is to seal the pores. Put the dishes in a pot with rice water or water mixed with wheat flour or potato starch, and boil over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool. After that, rinse lightly and dry thoroughly.
●Not suitable for use in ovens. We do not recommend using microwaves or dishwashers.
In Iwami District, Tottori Prefecture, at the end of the Edo period, Izushiyaki craftsmen built a kiln for dyed porcelain using soil from the Uradome coast. Dyed everyday utensils were fired for more than ten years until the feudal domain was abolished due to the Meiji Restoration, and in 1971, Mr. Sekio Yamashita and Mr. Kiyoshi Yamashita (currently at Engoji Kiln) revived it and named it ``Uradomi Ware.'' , created ``Yukihakuji'', a white porcelain with a soft, slightly bluish tone. Since 2008, Mr. Toshiyuki Hirata has inherited the pottery.
