Product description
A simple yet warm Tobikanna bowl, where traditional techniques are brought to the dining table.
Kanemaru Kiln, which inherits the traditional techniques and spirit of Koishiwara ware, is dedicated to creating practical and beautiful everyday tableware.
This is a simple and warm dish that will brighten up your everyday dining table.

*All tableware is handmade, and even if the tableware is of the same shape, each item will be baked differently, including the way the pattern appears. Please note that there are some individual differences.

*When the dishes are stacked and baked, a ring called a "janome" will form in the center of the plate.
The top piece will have no snake eyes, but the rest will have snake eyes. Please note that there may be slight individual differences in shape, pattern, and the presence or absence of snake eyes, and the item may not necessarily be exactly as shown in the image.

[Precautions when using pottery]
We recommend sealing the pores before using for the first time (soaking overnight in rice water or flour dissolved in water). Also, rinse the pan with water before serving food on it.
It is less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, dry them before storing them.

*We do not recommend using microwaves, ovens, or dishwashers.

Oishiwara ware (Fukuoka prefecture)
The kiln was opened in 1682 and is the first pottery production area in the Chikuho region.
It is characterized by unique geometric patterns expressed using brush marks, flying planes, comb painting, finger painting, flow painting, and uchikake.
In the mid-Edo period, potters were invited from Onta village, now Hita city, Oita prefecture, to teach the techniques of Oishiwara ware, so it is like a parent-child relationship between ONTAYAKI and Ogata ware.
In 2003, BEAMS launched a style that fuses traditional handicrafts, mainly from Japan, with new and old designs collected mainly from Scandinavia, under the theme of "bridging the gap between design and craft." Based on the idea of "less global, more local," the store offers a lifestyle-oriented selection that goes beyond the scope of previous selections, offering not only men's and women's wear collected from all over the country, but also tableware, interior goods, and even food.
