The long-awaited `` Kodomo BEAMS'' original desk, manufactured by the ``Cedar Factory'' in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, under the supervision of Tokyo Landscape Products, is now on sale at the online shop!
Manufactured at a historic factory that has earned high praise for its wooden school supplies such as children's desks, chairs, and vaulting boxes, and has been recommended by the Ministry of Education. Currently, we are committed to domestic production, and all the parts we use have received the "F☆☆☆☆ (Forster)" (JIS) certification, which is recognized as having the lowest formaldehyde standard value, and is free from VOD (volatile organic compounds). We are also actively working on countermeasures.
This desk chest is made of high-quality solid alder wood and has an oil finish that is gentle on the environment and the body, making it a long-lasting product. The original Kodomo BEAMS chest is made of natural and strong alder wood. You can enjoy the changes that occur over time and use it for a long time with love. The inside of the chest drawers are made of Japanese cypress wood. Every time you open it, the faint scent of cypress will give you a relaxing effect. It also has antibacterial, anti-mold, and anti-insect properties. Despite its narrow width and compact design, the third drawer can hold A4 files vertically. If you add the included casters, it will be easy to open and close even if you put a lot of things inside.

Q. What is F☆☆☆☆ Certification (Forster Certification)?
A. This is the grade of the amount of formaldehyde emitted by building materials. F☆☆☆☆ certification (Forster certification) has the lowest emission level among them.

Q. Does it get scratched easily?
A. Because it is a natural material, if you use hard or sharp objects, please use a desk mat or underlay. (Desk mat recommended)

Q. What is the difference between this desk and the Cedar Factory desk?
A. This is an original desk made from scratch with Landscape Products and Cedar Factory in terms of design and size.

Q. Can I see the real thing?
A. Daikanyama Kodomo BEAMS has actual samples on display.

Q. I think my younger siblings will have the same desk, but are there any plans to change the model?
A. There are no plans for model changes at this time. (As of November 2020)

[About delivery and assembly]
Q. Is there any assembly required?
A. You must assemble it yourself (instruction manual included). All you need to do is attach 5 casters and a drawer stopper to the bottom.

Q. Can I request the delivery company to assemble it?
A. We do not accept assembly and installation by delivery companies. The product will be delivered to the customer in its original packaging.

Q. How long does it take to assemble?

[About care and repair]
Q. Does it require maintenance?
A. Use a soft cloth and wood-grade maintenance oil. Wipe away any dirt with a tightly wrung out cloth, then apply a thin layer of oil to the surface. Please be careful not to use too much oil as it may cause stains.
