A story about learning the power of life through food
The story of edible education, which turned around a struggling junior high school in California.
This work is set in a junior high school in the suburbs of San Francisco and is a memoir that tells the story of the making of the "Edible Schoolyard," a school vegetable garden that author Alice Waters came up with and created together with teachers and parents. The first edition was published in the United States in 2008.
In fact, "Edible Schoolyard" began in 1994, the same year the author met the middle school principal. Now, more than 20 years later, its know-how is widely available through its website, and it has become an exemplary case of food and agriculture education that is highly regarded not only in the United States but around the world.
