■ Design
This is artist Mayumi Yamase's first collection of works, ``Book of...''. This ``Book of...'' will feature Yamase's work as an artist, including new canvas and three-dimensional works that will be exhibited at the solo exhibition ``The elephant in the room'' to be held at Lurf Muse from September 16, 2022. Tracing the trajectory of his activities to date, the collection includes a variety of works created from his student days to recent years, as well as installation views from solo exhibitions held to date. It also features casual photos taken by Yamase himself in his daily life, allowing you to consider the inspiration behind his works. Through the texts written by four contributors, we will be able to shed a little light on the essence of Yamase's abstract works.

Born in Tokyo. He majored in fine art at University of the Arts London and Chelsea College of Arts and Design, and is currently based in Tokyo. Mainly creates abstract paintings and soft sculptures based on the concept of contrasting reality (body) and invisible fantasy and imagination. He is also involved in events and exhibitions both domestically and internationally, as well as art production for famous maisons.
