■ Isamu Gakiya
An artist from Okinawa Prefecture who currently lives in Tokyo. While working as an illustrator, he also actively participates in art museum exhibitions and art festivals. Influenced by the American culture that remains in Okinawa, such as comics, horror and science fiction movies, he creates works using a variety of expressive methods, including drawing, collage and painting. He is active in many areas, including creating book covers for novels and other books, album artwork for musicians, and movie posters.
