Tatsuo Watanabe is one of Japan's leading female professional photographers.
The beauty of over 5,000 beautiful women has been brought to us through many media outlets, including the magazine ``GORO''.
DEAR FILM PROJECT wanted to see Watanabe's "female nudes photographed in private." The ultimate ``female nude'' that a photographer who has photographed numerous women in the course of his work is by no means the slender, stylish woman who appears in gravure photos.
For Watanabe, the origin of womanhood is the image of a fertile mother who felt a little damp warmth when she put her hands under her armpits or breasts as a child.
The photographs in ``Tatsuo Watanabe's Muse,'' excerpted from a photobook published in a private edition, are full of the generous, Jomon-like richness that modern women have lost.
