Katsuya Terada's pottery is called "Terada Ware"
Terada-ki is a ceramics brand launched in 2017 that features illustrations by Katsuya Terada.
It all started with the idea that it would be fun to have people buy tableware in the same way that they would buy a comic book.
The "Terada Ware" featured in this article is Hasami ware, which has a history of over 400 years and has long been popular as tableware for everyday use.
The long-awaited "Kurawanka bowl", which is synonymous with Hasami ware, has finally been released. It has a history of being used on ships, and is characterized by its shape that makes it difficult to tip over. Please use it to serve rice, soup, side dishes, sake, or anything you like.
■ Katsuya Terada/Illustrator and Manga artist
Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1963, he is an illustrator and manga artist. He is known as Rakugaking. He is active in a wide range of fields, including character design for manga, games, and anime. He has worked on game characters for "Journey to the West: The Monkey King," "The Camel Laughs," and the "Virtua Fighter" series, as well as anime and live-action films, and has also participated in overseas productions.
