To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Chara's birth, we published the picture book "LITTLE HEARTBEAT" co-authored with his younger sister Mitsuko Watabiki last December, and held an exhibition at B GALLERY to introduce the world of the picture book through an installation. did.

Due to popular demand, we will be holding a traveling exhibition entitled "Chara Art Living Room 'LITTLE HEARTBEAT'" at the hotel "The Blend Inn" in Konohana Ward, Osaka.

We will introduce the worldview of the picture book using the entire hotel, focusing on the lobby and guest rooms.

Chara is in charge of the story and Mitsuko Watabiki is in charge of the illustrations. The story is about a girl living a quiet life somewhere in the world who goes on an adventure journey, and encounters various things through her childhood memories with her family, her own experiences, and above all her power of imagination. It's a fantasy. In addition, this gorgeous book includes the song ``Mada Minu Anata e'' written by Chara specifically for this book.

Debuted in September 1991 with the single "Heaven". She is the only female artist in Japan who consistently creates and sings songs with the theme of "love". They gained popularity due to their original songs and unique presence, and in 1992 they won the Album New Artist Award in the Pop/Rock category at the Japan Record Awards. In 1996, the movie ``Swallowtail'' directed by Shunji Iwai, in which she appeared as an actress, was released, and the theme song ``Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~'', produced by the band YEN TOWN BAND as a vocalist, became a huge hit. . Around this time, she gained support as a ``new image of women'' that included lifestyle, and her 1997 album ``Junior Sweet'' recorded sales of over 1 million copies. In 2014, along with her beloved daughter SUMIRE, she was selected as the brand ambassador for Cross Company's new global brand ``KOE'', which is gaining attention in the fashion industry for its pioneering efforts.
