“fennica pop up store Mashiko” will be held in Mashiko Town for 2 days only

2021.11.18

fennica, which continues to propose a style that fuses old and new designs with the theme of "bridging design and craft," will be holding a limited-time event for two days from Saturday, November 27th to Sunday, November 28th, 2021. A pop-up store will be held at “Leach and Hamada Workshop (Hamadagama Nagayamon)” during “Mashiko x St. Ives 100th Anniversary Festival/Mashiko City 2021”.

In addition to Enokidagama, who continues to make pottery in Mashiko, including Yumi kimano Pottery, who trained at Hamadagama in Mashiko, and Yumi Seko Pottery in St. Ides, England. Carefully selected pottery from Shussaigama, which is famous for his guidance, standard indigo kokeshi dolls and brightly colored Mexican kokeshi dolls specially made by Sendai Kiji Seisakusho, and photos of Shoji Hamada wearing them. We offer a complete lineup, including a Special order-made fisherman's smock created with the cooperation of <Toyo Enterprises>, which was also inspired by ``Toyo Enterprises.''

In addition, it has been decided that old Okinawan pottery and glass items collected by Shoji Hamada, which were recently discovered, will be sold. Don't miss out on the valuable vintage items that have the atmosphere of those days, which are completely different from those of today.

To commemorate 100 years since Shoji Hamada and Bernard Leach started pottery together in England, please enjoy the precious store that used their workshop/residence as well as the peaceful Mashiko, which is rich in nature.
