Kimiko Yamase is a designer who has created brands such as MATRIOCHKA and les Briqu`a Braque, and continues to attract fans of all generations. Influenced by her mother, Mayumi Yamase is active as an artist, creating colorful and abstract art.

Vermeerist BEAMS Vermeerist BEAMS be holding a pop-up shop where you can see a wide range of apparel and artwork from both companies.
During the exhibition Vermeerist BEAMS, in addition to selling custom-made items Special order to this event, we will exhibit and sell art works that are not normally available.

A special space made up of the two's works and clothes, where you can feel their inherited sense and common worldview. Please stop by and take advantage of this precious opportunity.

Kimiko Yamase

Moved to the United States in 1976. Worked as an animator for Hanna-Barbera. After returning to Japan, she opened "ParAvion" Aoyama ('82), a vintage clothing store specializing in women's clothing.
1997 Launched “les Briqu`a Braque”, a brand specializing in remakes.
2001 “MATRIOCHKA” started.
2004 Published "Kawaii Couture Remake" by Bunka Publishing. He then published ``Cool Couture Remake'' (also published in English and German).
2020: Started atelier and shop “Casa Yama” in Aoyama. Until now.

Mayumi Yamase

Born in Tokyo.
He spent his childhood in America and moved to England after graduating from high school. Majored in Fine Art at University of the Arts London and Chelsea College of Arts and Design. Currently based in Tokyo. Mainly creates abstract paintings and soft sculptures based on the concept of contrasting reality (body) and invisible fantasy and imagination.
So far, he has participated in the ``Sibcal Festival'' PARCO, exhibited in London and Singapore, and helped create art for Comme des Garçons.
