BEAMS, which celebrated its 45th anniversary, continues to be loved as a huggable doll that fosters kindness, compassion, and creativity in children, and will be opening a limited-time POP UP SHOP of <Mel-chan>, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2022, on Friday, May 27th. ) will be held.
For the event, BEAMS T teamed up with MIN-NANO, a SHOP that resonates with this project and enjoys a cult following on Ikegami.We invited various artists and brands to participate in a free event with the theme of ``Mel-chan.'' We sell T-shirts designed based on our ideas.
Additionally, a collaboration doll between Mel-chan and BEAMS will be produced as a special item for this project. In this collaboration, which focuses on the keyword 30th anniversary of <Mel-chan>, we have specially reproduced BEAMS globe logo that was used 30 years ago, and recreated the fashion of the "American casual" boom that BEAMS led at the time. Reproduced with the following coordination. The result is a finish that feels both nostalgic and fresh, not only for children but also for parents who are fans of BEAMS.
BEAMS has not only worked with various cultures such as fashion, music, and sports, but also collaborated with a wide variety of genres that had previously been unrelated to the apparel industry, such as games, anime, manga, and entertainment. Please look forward to this project that takes the senses even further.
