Munqa

This is a jewelry brand designed by artist muu, which started in 2010.
The concept is NEWTIVE = NEW + NATIVE, and the theme is a mix of influenced cultures and ethnic cultures.
We are pursuing a new expression of NATIVE through Munqa 's filter.

Munqa 's jewelry

All materials are made of sterling silver (925 silver).
Silver jewelry is a one-of-a-kind item that is handcrafted by skilled Japanese craftsmen, from production to finishing.
Similar to vintage native jewelry, silver is melted to create sheet metal.
The reason why the surface is not uniform is because I used that technique on purpose.
While most silver items on the market are mass-produced using casts (molds), Munqa 's jewelry is basically all cut out by hand by craftsmen.
Each stamp is also handmade. The areas where the lines are expressed are called suji carving, and this is also hand carving.
All processes are carried out by a single craftsman, and if you look closely, you won't find that they all look the same in appearance or shape because of this production method.
