The `` BEAMS Special order'' collection, which started in 2001, the 25th anniversary of the founding of BEAMS, has created many masterpieces and attracted many fans. The collection, which had been sold only at BEAMS in Japan, has now crossed the ocean from the 2022 fall/winter collection, and has been sold at Arc'teryx brand stores in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and China, creating a great buzz.
The second collection will be on sale worldwide at "BEAMS Harajuku" on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Product concept “Boro”
Traditional Japanese handicraft “Boro”. This technique of sewing cloth together has been passed down from ancient times as a way to make cloth and clothing last longer and to survive the harsh winters of the Tohoku region. This collection is inspired by Boro's unique patchwork texture and traditional dyeing, ``Aizome.'' We have a lineup of products that enable multiple layering in the field. BEAMS, which knows Arc'teryx well, has a lot of attention to detail, such as the "Boro Blue" logo, the big bird on the upper right arm of the jacket, and the double-zip design on the front zipper.
Furthermore, the main visual for this time is ``ASHIMA SHIRA ISHI'' @ashimashiraishi, a world-class climber and <Arc'teryx> global contract athlete.
Photos documenting Ashima Shiraishi's outdoor climbing are arranged into a “Boro” patchwork to convey the joy of this collection.
