2023.08.23

The 41st installment of the project "Fukushima Mono Map" currently being held at BEAMS JAPAN is based on the theme of "Nakanosawa Onsen" and features special products from the Nakanosawa area of Inawashiro Town, as well as "Nakanosawa Kokeshi" dolls, which celebrated their 100th anniversary last year. will be sold.

The history of "Nakanosawa Kokeshi" dates back to the Meiji era when Nakanosawa Onsen was opened, and today it is passed down as a tradition by nine artisans in their 30s to 80s. The BEAMS JAPAN Special order made “Nakanosawa Kokeshi” we have prepared this time has the traditional shape and pattern, but is finished in orange, the corporate color of BEAMS.

In addition, special products from the Nakanosawa area of Inawashiro Town include the ``Nakanosawa Onsen Takobozu Kokeshi One-Cup Set,'' which has an adorable illustration of an octopus monk on the cup, and the ``Nakanosawa Onsen Takobozu Kokeshi One-Cup Set,'' which features a package inspired by the Numajiri Light Railroad that ran through Nakanosawa Onsen. We have prepared "Numajiri Light Railway Manju" and "Nostalgic Brandy Cake" using rice flour from Inawashiro Town brand rice.

Furthermore, this time, "Nakanosawa Kokeshi Mikuji" and "Nakanosawa Onsen Map", which were planned and designed by students of Tokyo University of the Arts Laboratory 2 (Professor Michihiko Yanai), will be displayed at BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) during the period. .
