On the 4th floor of BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku), from Saturday, April 27th to Sunday, May 12th, 2024, a pop-up shop will be held to commemorate the retirement of Shota Horie (Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights), who has played in four Rugby World Cups as a member of the Japanese national rugby team and has announced his retirement at the end of this season.
This time, they have teamed up with photographer Atsushi Kondo, who has been taking photos of Horie as a member of the Japanese national team and the Sunwolves. At this event, they will exhibit and sell (autographed and framed) photos taken under the theme of "Recording the final physical form of a 38-year-old who has continued to compete against the world." Orders will also be accepted during the same period at BEAMS ONLINE SHOP.
In addition, those who purchase the designated framed photo will be entered into a lottery* to be invited to a talk show on Sunday, June 9, 2024, where they will be able to shake hands and take photos with Horie himself.
*If the capacity is reached, a lottery will be held.
*If you are selected, you may bring up to one person with you.
Also on sale will be T-shirts by WAYP MUSIC featuring Kondo's photographs, original TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS T-shirts, and collaboration T-shirts with original illustrations by artist MASANORI USHIKI.
