Shohei Yoshida Exhibition “Shinjuku(Collage)”

B GALLERY will hold its first exhibition by Shohei Yoshida. This exhibition features carefully selected works from photographer Daido Moriyama's ``Shinjuku (Collage)'', a collection of 128 works that were created by dismantling the photo book ``Shinjuku'' (Mondaysha) and using all the pages as material for a collage. Works will be exhibited and sold.
In addition to designing books and art direction for exhibitions, Shohei Yoshida creates and presents many collage works as an artist. His bold, free, and beautiful collages, full of desire and impulse, breathe new life into Moriyama's works. Please look forward to it.

Shohei Yoshida / Art director, graphic designer
Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1985. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design Institute, he worked at the design office "Nakamura Graph" before becoming independent as "White Solid" in 2016. His activities include designing catalogs and books and art direction for exhibition visuals. At the same time, as an artist, he produces and presents many collage works using letters, paper, and books as the main materials and themes. In 2016, after participating in the magazine "BRUTUS" (Magazine House) No. 818 "Photo Special Feature with Daido Moriyama", he began creating collage works using Daido Moriyama's photo books as materials. His collection includes “KASABUTA” (2013/WALL).
