Photographer Shinichiro Shiraishi's art exhibition will be held at BEAMS T Harajuku

2025.08.15

BEAMS T will be holding an art exhibition titled BEAMS BLIND FAITH" by photographer Shiraishi Shinichiro.

Shiraishi moved his base of operations to Berlin, Germany in 2019, where he has pursued his own unique photographic expression while coming into contact with diverse people and cultures. By layering various elements such as land, people, objects, and time into a single photograph through collage, he creates a borderless worldview that transcends national and cultural boundaries within anonymous landscapes.

This art exhibition will feature Shiraishi's works, created on the theme of "manifesting absence," as well as five special products for sale, including three T-shirts, a crew neck sweatshirt, and a blanket, all featuring his work.

This exhibition will be held at BEAMS T Harajuku from Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 31st, 2025.
An opening event will also be held on the first day to commemorate the event.

*Purchased works will be delivered by mail after the exhibition ends.

Shinichiro Shiraishi ART EXHIBITION “BLIND FAITH” at BEAMS T HARAJUKU

Those of us who live in cities unconsciously believe in something invisible, and we shape our daily values within that framework.
After hearing stories of witch hunts and strange happenings in Tanzania, Shiraishi realizes that he too is living in a different form of "blind faith."
This work, based on the theme of the manifestation of absence, displays silkscreen prints of photographs taken in Africa. By varying the CMYK plate composition and color balance, the artist actively incorporates coincidences such as misregistration and fading, transforming the same photograph into a completely different expression. What emerges is an idol freed from certainty and beautiful disorder.
"BLIND FAITH" is an attempt to question the invisible structures hidden within our faith and to touch another intelligence through chance.

BEAMS and culture.
Fashion and culture.

When you think of BEAMS, do you think of fashion?
No, actually, it’s art and entertainment.
Promoting cultural fields such as design
There are also a lot of labels.
A project to bring them together
BEAMS CULTUART. A wide variety of styles
It started with a feeling of love.
Cherish that feeling,
Editing skills cultivated in fashion
Taking advantage of the sensibility that captures the times,
I want to discover new values.
If we do that, the future of culture will be much more interesting.
