BEAMS and Avex Creator Agency jointly launch new market "SUPER ART & CRAFT MARKET"

As part of its business production operations through BEAMS group company BEAMS CREATIVE Inc., Beams will be launching a new market event, "SUPER ART & CRAFT MARKET," in collaboration with Avex Creator Agency Inc.

This event will be held for the first time as part of MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2025, one of Japan's largest art festivals, which will be held in Tennoz, Tokyo from Friday, October 10th to Monday, October 13th, 2025 (national holiday).

"SUPER ART & CRAFT MARKET" brings together over 90 creators, brands, and shops from all over Japan that are active in the spirit of modern craftsmanship in the three categories of art goods, crafts, and food & drink. In addition to selling special products and event-exclusive items, it is an urban market where you can also enjoy hands-on content.

Creator brands with ties to BEAMS will also be setting up shop.

Other items on offer include the new "Kagami Box" by MISAKO & ROSEN and Kagami Ken, the Okinawa Craft Area with a focus on Okinawa among the more than 30 craft shops from all over the country, and the event-only menu "Super Egg Noodles!" by Fuki Noodle Research Institute, all of which combine quality, originality, and buzz.

As a special project, Hayate Wada of the five-member dance and vocal group "Da-iCE" and vintage fashion YouTuber FJ will be hosting the "HAYATE WADA × FJ SPECIAL POPUP STORE." In addition to selling vintage and limited items selected by the two, there will also be a talk session titled "Vintage as Art" starting at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 12th.

This talk session will focus on the theme of "vintage clothing" as the intersection of fashion and art. Vintage clothing is more than just clothing; it is an "archive" that reflects the culture and values of the time, and can be seen as a form of expression, just like art. Speakers will include BEAMS CULTUART director Sato Takahiko and BEAMS staff member Uno Naohide, who is well-versed in vintage clothing. Together with Wada and FJ, the four will discuss how to approach vintage clothing and how to interpret it artistically from their own perspectives.

Both art and vintage clothing are "testimony that reflects the times," and at the same time, they attract us as "one-of-a-kind items." When the two overlap in the context of an art festival, look forward to a talk session exploring the commonalities and possibilities that can be found between fashion and art.
