A pop-up event will be held for Rotten Donuts, a company that continues to collaborate with creators in unique ways.
2026.03.12

Rotten Donuts is an emergent media project themed on crossing boundaries and co-creation, serving as a platform for diverse creator-driven initiatives. For its 10th event since its launch in the summer of 2024, it will be holding a pop-up event at BEAMS CULTUART Takanawa, the only permanent ART Digging store in the Tokyo area.
This exhibition will feature one-of-a-kind T-shirts with garments painted onto canvases, as well as posters created through live painting. In addition, to commemorate the exhibition, approximately 200 new works by 30 creators will be added to "ART Digging."
Ten days filled with digging, agonizing, and bursting moments of drawing.
Please come and visit us in a place where new and unique experiences are born.
Event Program
Hand-Drawn Tees
An apparel project produced by "Odoreru Aho" (Dancing Fools). Eight free-spirited and playful creators have used garments as canvases to create limited-edition, one-of-a-kind pieces. If you shed meaning and correctness and embrace a natural, human style, it might be a little comical, but somehow good. This time, an impressive 100 pieces are all lined up!

Hand-Drawn Posters
This is a public art-making project where participating artists create live paintings on posters, using them as canvases. The base poster design is by Tadashi Ueda, who has worked on many of Rotten Donuts' visuals. The artists' lines and colors are layered on top of it, and an improvised piece emerges. The materials are unpretentious, the creation is accidental, and the finished product is irreproducible. They paint with an impulse different from their usual works and Hand-Drawn Tees. A fool who can dance doesn't need choreography.

About ART Digging
It's characterized by an immersive experience where you dig into art pieces as if you were discovering a record. The works you encounter during this time, when you easily lose yourself in the experience, instill a firm attachment that will remain unshaken no matter what anyone says.

The dancing fool
"Dancing" doesn't mean dancing.
That feeling that remains after you've shed all notions of meaning and correct answers.
It's a little comical, but somehow good.
