Within our precious daily lives, there are irreplaceable places, and people.
When we come into contact with them, we are reminded of such things.
Relax, go out on the town, and you'll surely find something more real, something you'll find superior.
<Ray BEAMS> brings you a comfortable style that we experienced for ourselves, in California.

The heart of her lifestyle is creating things she likes, and that naturally spreads to the world. "Niki" brings abundance to people through such effortless creations. Niki, the fiber artist, met indigo dye 10 years ago.
When she visited Kyoto during her travels, she felt a vintage indigo dye sold by an old lady at an open market, and was shocked by the sheer beauty of it. Soon after, she began indigo dyeing in her home kitchen. Through friend connections, indigo dyes from different countries, Morocco, Egypt, and Japan, gathered to Niki.
Niki now uses El Salvador’s indigo in her productions. Although the process of multiple dyeing takes time and effort, Niki performs each task carefully. She even weaves the strings she used in the dye, into cloth. "I try not to make trash as much as possible," she says while moving her indigo-stained hands.
When meeting Niki, one forgets the time in trivial chatter. Her cheerful smile shone brilliantly in the sunlight. Her kindness and inner fortitude oozes out on her artwork, making it feel warm.
<Atelier Delphine> designer, Yuka Izutsu. She lives with her photographer husband in Pasadena, located a short distance away from downtown. In a way, having a studio right next to the house makes it difficult to switch between on and off, but Yuka makes you forget that the switch even existed.
She started living in LA in January 2005. The brand was created in March 2011. <Atelier Delphine> isn’t just comfortable. It’s a pleasant wear that also combines the beauty of women. It’s a natural and satisfying style that she built up firmly over time. The physically demanding creative work is supported by their style of living.
When asked what she values in making clothes, she answered, "The space you’re in". The road leading to the house. The abundant flowers and greenery. The enveloping scent of nature. When you open the door of the house, bright sunlight streams through. Many creations of designer friends decorate each room’s interior.
She spends her days feeling the slow-moving time in this open way of life. Perhaps this is why she can notice the important things. She goes shopping and researching on the weekends. She aggressively enjoys her work and lifestyle; this perfect balance of her work life is probably what makes Yuka and <Atelier Delphine> charming.
