Kiwanda

Kiwanda means workshop in Swahili. Designer Chieko launched the brand in 2009 with the idea of it being a place where ideas can take shape. Her designs, which she loves, are hand-drawn in an atelier at the back of her Aoyama store, and sometimes become knitted socks, and sometimes hand-printed using silk screen printing. The designs, which she creates with unique colors and patterns, are also attractive because they always have a feminine element.
