Sakeware is part of hikiZAN, a new project by Imabashi Manufacturing in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which utilizes cutting processing technology and is launching it worldwide.

The shape symbolizes the spirit of "wabi-sabi," a traditional Japanese aesthetic that finds beauty in distorted, uneven shapes. The lapis lazuli color is also appealing to those with high aesthetic standards.

The cutting process used to carve out a block of metal evokes the idea of "beauty through subtraction." This product is made of "pure titanium," a material that requires skilled processing techniques and retains its semi-permanent beauty, making it a sake set that you can use for a long time.

【concept】
When titanium was first discovered, it was sealed inside ore. It was named after the Titans, who in Greek mythology slept deep underground. Titan has captured people's imaginations due to its excellent strength and durability, and is used in aircraft and space development. We have created a sake cup to enjoy the romance of this metal with a special local sake.

【design】
The beautiful mineral form makes you forget that it is a sake cup. Its solid presence is born from the lavish carving of a pure titanium ingot. Using our own coloring technology, we are able to express colors ranging from those of natural stone or rock to the vivid colors of minerals.

[Functionality]
Titanium does not have the distinctive "golden" smell that other metals have, and does not interfere with the taste or aroma of the sake. It delivers the natural goodness of the sake directly to the tongue, making it ideal for unpasteurized sake, which has a delicate umami flavor that comes from the enzymes that live there. It brings out the best in the sake itself, which is filled with the brewer's passion.

[Precautions for use]
・Do not use in a microwave oven as it may cause the device to break down.
・Do not use a dishwasher or dish dryer as this may cause deformation or scratches.
・Do not leave the contents in the container for a long period of time as this may cause discoloration.
After use, wash thoroughly with a soft sponge and neutral dishwashing detergent, wipe off any water, and store in a dry place.
