■How to care for your cutting board・Please wash it once before using it for the first time. From then on, before using it, sprinkle water on it to form a film of water on the surface, making it difficult for odors and dirt to penetrate. *Please wipe off excess water before use.
- After using a cutting board, wash it with water and detergent as soon as possible, and let it air dry by standing it upright with the grain of the wood in a place out of direct sunlight. *Wooden cutting boards contain moisture, so sudden temperature changes or rapid drying may cause them to warp or crack.
- Disinfecting by soaking in detergent may cause blackheads. The same goes for Hiba cutting boards, and if you want to sterilize them, we recommend washing them with detergent, draining the water, and pouring boiling water over them. *Please note that if you pour boiling water on the food before removing the stains, the protein stains on the food will harden in the boiling water.
*We do not recommend using the dishwasher as temperature changes and rapid drying may cause warping or cracking.
