This business card holder from Yamazaki Asaorimono Kobo is made using Noto Jofu, one of the five major fine fabrics in Japan.
The clean ikat patterns and subdued colors that reflect the climate of Noto give a simple yet modern impression. You can enjoy the "primitive flavor of the weave" of this obi fabric, hand-woven by artisans, in both business and everyday life.

What is Noto Jofu?
It is a high-quality linen fabric that has a cool texture, is transparent like cicada wings, has a firm, lustrous, and crisp feel, and is popular for summer kimonos. It is characterized by its delicate and elegant Kasuri patterns created by Noto's unique craftsmanship techniques called comb printing and roll printing. It has been designated as an intangible cultural property by Ishikawa Prefecture.
