This accessory case reproduces the unique small pattern created by Santo Kyoden, a multi-talented artist representing the Edo period.

Kyoden's "playful design," which satirized the social climate of the time, still exudes fresh appeal even after more than 200 years. The adorable komon pattern was restored by the design unit COCHAE and, under a project by BEAMS JAPAN, was reproduced as Takata Orimono, a long-established manufacturer in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan's largest producer of tatami mat borders.
The material used for tatami edging, which protects the corners of tatami mats, is durable, lightweight, and has just the right amount of slippage. Utilizing this characteristic, the bag is made with a jacquard weave that features a three-dimensional pattern. Its slim design means it won't take up much space in your jacket or pants pocket, making it a convenient item for carrying cards and coins smartly.
