This new blouson features madras check, a key item this season. It takes inspiration from a traditional golf jacket and incorporates preppy elements. To avoid looking too dated, the silhouette has been adjusted to a rounded silhouette with a generous width. Elbow patches made of the same material add a subtle accent.

■Coordination
It can be outfit with denim or chinos for a classic traditional look, or with slacks or a skirt for a more casual look. Just throw it on and you'll have a seasonal feel.

■Size
The slightly roomy size is perfect for the current mood. It's easy to layer and can be used as a lightweight outer layer for a long season.

■ Material
The fabric is made from Indian Madras, which is slowly woven on traditional looms in the Madras region (now Chennai) in southeastern India. The three-dimensional texture created by sun-drying and the airy checked fabric make it comfortable to wear even in Japan's hot and humid summers.
