■ Design
This BEAMS PLUS work shirt features a horizontally undulating pattern. Its design is based on the work shirts of American store brands from the 1950s. The bias-set chest pocket adds a touch of design flair. It is produced in Japan.
■Details
The basic stitching is done with a triple needle chain stitch, which ensures a strong and sturdy finish. This garment combines classic details with careful tailoring.
■Size
The fit is classic, with a large pattern. It can be easily coordinated with a shirt on top as well as a cut and sew top, and is a great lightweight piece to throw on.
■ Material
This soft checkered fabric is made with organic cotton for the warp and weft, combining a waffle weave with a "yoroke weave." Yoroke weave is a dobby weave characterized by a wavy, undulating pattern. This traditional technique has become rare since the 1970s, but artisans have reconstructed the equipment based on the original blueprints and revived it in modern times.
