The RANCOURT & Co. beefroll penny loafers are a standard item in Ivy League style. This particular pair is a Special order from BEAMS PLUS, handcrafted using traditional techniques at their factory in Lewiston, Maine, USA.

■Details
These moccasins are still handcrafted today using the hand-sewn technique. The distinctive beefroll stitching is set to five stitches (5 overcast), a more classic, Special order specification. The heel features a traditional kicker back detail, also hand-sewn. A short plug design, with the instep length shortened by 1/4 inch, is used to balance the overall look and widen the opening for easier on and off. The construction employs the Goodyear welt method, which provides excellent sole flexibility and a comfortable fit. The outsole is a single leather sole finished in a brown color.

■Size
From this model onwards, the shoe last has been changed from the conventional "800 last" to the "555 last." Compared to the previous model, the new last has a gentler toe shape and a more fitted form. Considering the overall balance and fit, an E width has been adopted. The width itself is the same as the previous D width, but the instep is higher and the circumference of the foot is wider. The range of sizes has been expanded to US 11. The fitting is versatile and can be used for a wide range of styles, from traditional styles to outfits with work or military pants.
