Product description
Made to order! Luxurious comfort for relaxing in the chair
[Large item] Order acceptance period: Until 2/11 (Wed) 23:59

The Mathsson series easy chair was created through a collaboration between Tendo Mokko and Bruno Mathsson, a leading Scandinavian furniture designer who was awarded the title of Professor by the Swedish government. It features a leg structure called "tokosuri," which was developed after studying the Japanese lifestyle. This "tokosuri" prevents scratches on the floor, making it safe to use on carpets and tatami mats.
The molded plywood frame, canvas upholstery, and cushioned seat are lightweight yet durable, providing a soft, enveloping seating experience.
It is lightweight and easy to move, making it easy to clean and rearrange, and its simple appearance is attractive.

■ Design
Bruno Mathsson
Born in 1907 in Värnamo, southern Sweden, as the son of a furniture maker, he learned furniture making from an early age and, after gaining experience as a furniture maker, established his own workshop and produced many masterpieces. He released his signature work, EVA, in 1934, and the Carlin Chair in 1968. In 1981, he was awarded the title of Professor by the Swedish government. The furniture he designed is coveted as a masterpiece of Swedish modernism. There is an anecdote that when he visited Tendo in 1974, he expressed a strong desire to stay in a ryokan with tatami mats.

■ Low type
The shape of the chair is focused on providing a comfortable, relaxed seat, with a deep, relaxed feel that allows you to lean back and have your body supported for a relaxing experience.

■Molded plywood
This technique involves layering thinly sliced wooden boards called veneers to create various shapes. Lightweight and strong, it is possible to create complex curves.

■ Material
Frame: White beach (natural)
Upholstery: GRADE D Corinne 2 wool, acrylic, nylon
