10 years since the release of the photo book "CAMP4"
Ten years have passed since she compiled a photo book on the theme of "CAMP4," a site where climbers who stay long term at Yosemite pitch their tents. Shibuya Yuri's relationship with Yosemite has become deeper and closer, and she has made more acquaintances. During this period, she photographed "people who inspire me in various ways." In other words, it may refer to how they deal with the rocks of Yosemite. In season, the climbers stay for more than a month and immerse themselves in Yosemite for a long time. None of them are wearing clean clothes. They are wearing clothes that are as worn as their fingertips and bodies, and have chalk bags tied around their waists. Some of the photos are of world-class climbers that she respects, but the important thing is whether they embody the joy of surrendering themselves to the great flow. Meeting people who know that climbing is a means to that end, and that it is close to photographing the "rocks" that only you know. The sensibility that the land of Yosemite attracts and cultivates makes people pure and naked.

staff:nmaKey point: Yosemite Valley, a national park in the United States, is a place of longing for climbers all over the world. This zine shows climbers in their natural state. Looking at the photos naturally made me feel like my mind was freed.
