“Yumi Seko ’s work” held at “BEAMS KOBE”

Yumi Seko is a female potter whose work has been the focus of attention by < fennica >. Having trained at < Hamadagama >, which represents the town of Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture, and at The Leach Pottery in St. Ives, England, BEAMS Kobe will present a selection of her work. This exhibition, the first at fennica since 2015 in Harajuku, will feature new works in addition to the excellent pieces selected under the theme of "perfect for everyday use. Yumi Seko Profile

1995: Graduated from Faculty of Humanities, Keisen Jogakuen University
2007: Completed molding I course at Ibaraki Prefectural Ceramics Guidance Center
2007-2012: Studied under Mr. Tomoo Hamada at Hamada Hamadagama (Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture)
2012-2013: Studied at Leech Pottery (St. Ives, UK). Started producing porcelain 2014: Became independent in Hamura City, Tokyo
2015: First solo exhibition after becoming independent at fennica.
2018: Moved to Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture
~Currently: Continues to actively create pottery in the atelier attached to his home, and holds exhibitions at department stores and galleries around the country.
