Since its establishment in 1974, Marmot has assisted many alpinists and mountain guides who are challenging themselves to the limit by developing materials that pursue advanced functionality and styling and cutting based on ergonomics. It is also known for creating a series of high-performance products, including the world's first sleeping bag to use GORE-TEX® and lightweight, warm down wear.
A Special order collection with Marmot will be released from November 5th (Saturday).
This time, the lineup includes down jackets and down vests.
The down jacket is a reprint of the brand's signature masterpiece ``Mammoth Down Parka,'' which debuted in 1982.
The outer material is made of 70 denier GORE-TEX®2L Taffeta, which is waterproof and breathable and has just the right amount of firmness. The filling is made of 750 fill power down with "down DEFENDER" that can withstand use in bad weather, providing high heat retention and cold protection.
In addition to flap pockets and handwarmer pockets on the front, a Napoleon pocket that can be accessed from the placket, and plenty of utility pockets on the inside, it also features storage capacity. As a special specification for BEAMS, we selected the colors of the outer material and lining, and linked the color of the lining with the brand logo on the front pocket.Also, we created a silhouette that looks more beautiful when the removable hood is attached. We pay attention to every detail, including the addition of snap buttons.
The down vest is a completely Special order item from BEAMS. Made by sampling the "Mammoth Down Parka", it has a trendy loose silhouette and size balance. The coloring is available in two colors, vintage-like green and turquoise, which were popular in the street scene at the time. It also follows the same rich pocket work as ``Mammoth Down Parka''.
As a special project for this collaboration, artist Sablo Mikawa will create artwork of the image of the wearer wearing the item, and it will be exhibited and sold at "BEAMS Harajuku" from the first day of release.

Sablo Mikawa
Sablo Mikawa was born in Saitama Prefecture. Learned oil painting when he was in elementary school. Influenced by early modern paintings, he is known for his style of dramatically depicting contemporary things in oil paintings, including virtual reality such as comics and movies. Grotesque effects are applied to the faces and bodies of the people Sablo draws, emphasizing their character, interiority, and silhouette, which are different from those of existing humans. These effects originate from Sablo's inspiration from Western paintings, movies, music, manga, etc., which he admires, and are sampled and incorporated into his works in order to express the things and emotions that we see in modern times. ing.
