A reception party focusing on the masterpiece "Stool 60" will be held at "fennica STUDIO"

Artek is a Finnish interior brand that represents Scandinavian modern style. It has built a long and close relationship with fennica, starting with the planning and sales of Special order made products.
This time, we are taking a fresh look at the masterpiece "Stool 60" designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933, and will be offering the "Stool 60" with a leather-covered seat in a rich variety of 12 colors.
The inspiration for this leather-covered stool was a vintage stool from the 1950s. The seat is made of "Sorensen Prestige," a stain-resistant leather with a protective surface treatment, and has a clean design without a cushion. The legs are made of "Wild Birch," a "natural white birch," and we selected this material to allow you to enjoy the unique and one-of-a-kind expressions that are born from the forest, such as knots that appear in the wood, dark areas near the core, and insect marks.
The simple and universal design fits in with any environment, and the wood and leather of the seat change over time, making this a "stool to grow with." In addition, the first 60 pieces will come with a "BEAMS" plate on the underside of the seat.
Artek Stool 60 Leather & Wild Birch will be on display and for sale from 18:00 on Friday, July 12th at fennica STUDIO on the 5th floor of BEAMS Japan (Shinjuku). On the first day of the sale, a reception party and a talk show by BEAMS Creative Director Kojiro Nagumo will be held in fennica STUDIO from 18:00 to 20:00.
