In addition, a pop-up event for the project "Calling BEAMS CRAFTS IN THE MAKING," supervised by CATHRI 's creative director Sachiko Sato, will also be held at Wataya Besso in Saga Prefecture.

This project aims to create new value through the filter of fashion and connect it to the future in order to protect the many cultures that are creating things that should be passed down to future generations. Three brands will be launched: CATHRI, which offers ageless and universal relaxing wear incorporating Kurume Kasuri, an Important Intangible Cultural Property; HIZEN jewelry, a jewelry collection that uses five ceramics representing Hizen, Saga Prefecture, as jewels; and HYOGO LEATHER, which incorporates leather produced by tanners in the Hyogo area into various items.

This time, chopsticks, an indispensable item in Japanese food culture, will be on display as a product selected by the Calling director. We will be introducing the attractive products of Hashikura Matsukan, a long-established lacquered chopstick manufacturer in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, which is the number one producer of domestic lacquered chopsticks in Japan.
