An event showcasing the traditions and charms of Izumo, Shimane, titled "Izumo's Culture, Its Connections," will be held at "BEAMS LIFE Yokohama" from March 27th (Fri) to April 5th (Sun).
This event is a limited-time pop-up store that allows visitors to experience the "KOJIN-SHŌTEN" of B JIRUSHI MARKET, where the BEAMS staff curates goods and things based on their personal discernment, in a real-life setting. The shop will introduce Izumo's culture and community from a variety of perspectives, combining the discerning eye of KOJIN-SHŌTEN owner Hiroshi Doichi, who serves as Izumo's tourism ambassador, with the perspective of guest curator Shinichi Mita, a stylist.
Enjoy this unique lineup, which brings to life the traditions and culture of Izumo through the collaboration KOJIN-SHŌTEN and the communication hub of BEAMS Life Yokohama.

Izumo's leading renowned kiln, Shussaigama, will be featured. Doiichi Shoten will be offering a pre-sale of Special order colors of their copper-corded black bowls and compotes, and will also be presenting a wider variety of pieces by fennica. All of these will be gathered in one place on an unprecedented scale.

"LOCAL-IZM" Pop-up
A select shop featuring carefully chosen local products from the San'in region. We introduce Izumo souvenirs recommended by Doiji, as well as items that connect Izumo's traditions to the modern age, such as magatama (comma-shaped beads) and goshuincho (stamp books).

In addition to our already popular apparel line, we've also specially prepared matcha products that are usually only available locally. You can enjoy the traditional aroma of Izumo in the comfort of your own home.

Enjoy authentic Izumo matcha in Yokohama. The owners will be joining us for a special pop-up shop where you can directly sample their popular Izumo matcha latte and limited-edition Japanese sweets prepared especially for this event.

This necklace was created under the supervision of Mr. Mita, utilizing materials from the long-established agate company, Shugyokudo, founded in 1877. Normally an item exclusive to "BEAMS JAPAN Izumo," it will be on display and available for purchase exclusively at this event.

A collaboration with Negosix, a comedian and illustrator from Shimane Prefecture. We will be offering a playful lineup of five items for pre-sale.

<Izumo Saryo "Fuji" × Shinichi Mita × Doiji Shoten>
This limited-edition T-shirt was created by Mr. Mita after he actually visited the site and drew inspiration from the atmosphere he experienced there. It's a one-of-a-kind design that evokes the "seams" of Izumo.

Friday, March 27th, 7:00 PM: Reception Party

On the evening of the first day of the event, we will be holding a reception open to everyone. We will offer a special evening featuring Izumo's cuisine and engaging talks.
Talk Show (19:30~): A conversation between Shinichi Mita and Hiroshi Doiuchi.
Local Food & Drink: Three varieties of "Barapan," a soul food loved for 70 years since its release, and a limited quantity of craft beer "hinomisaki" from "Space Ohkita," a popular bar in Izumo, will be available.
