6 Dress Shoes Selected by Shoe-loving Staff

This time, we will feature three shoe brands that are indispensable to International Gallery BEAMS, which selects a wide range of items from Japan and abroad: ALDEN, F.LLI.GIACOMETTI, and Paraboot. The highly finished products made by skilled craftsmen are always attracting attention from shoe-loving staff and customers. Once you buy a pair, you will be so hooked that you will want to collect different models as well. In this content, you can see recommended items that each staff member has styled freely.

F.LLI.GIACOMETTI / FG597 SIDE GORE BOOT

My favorite shoe brand is F.LLI.GIACOMETTI, and I own a total of seven pairs. Their mid-range models have a touch of playfulness, and they are carefully made and have beautiful looks.
I have about 60 pairs of leather shoes, but I often wear F.LLI.GIACOMETTI. These side-gore boots may look basic at first glance, but they are an oblique toe model with a strong inward tilt. Therefore, they are strong enough to stand up to being paired with unusual items.
This time I tried matching it with vintage overalls. The side gore boots and turtleneck knit are both simple and minimal, so they go together really well.

Paraboot / CHAMBORD

Paraboot is one of the brands I've loved since my late teens. The French military M47 pants and the CHAMBORD were a staple style influenced by a senior from my hometown of Hokkaido. The lisse leather that characterizes the whole shoe is appealing for its versatility, as it can be coordinated with anything from military pants to 5-pocket pants, as well as basic items, and can also be worn with high fashion. Today, I'm coordinating it with a pair of light pale green shirred trousers from TOO SOON TO KNOW, a recent favorite item.
We added a '70s-'80s style gun club check jacket from Emilio Pucci to give the outfit a country feel, while keeping in mind the clean look of the material to create a balanced look.
The NOIR (black) color of the soles of the feet tightens up the whole look.

ALDEN / CORDVAN V TIP SHOES

ALDEN is a brand I've admired since I was a student, and after joining BEAMS, I immediately purchased this V-Tip. The unique fitting of the modified last, the beautiful upper specifications, and the lustrous cordovan are what make this model so appealing. Since I wear them often, I take good care of them and use them regularly.
Although it is an American brand, it has a French feel to it. It is also versatile and can be worn with a variety of outfits. I thought that sandals would be fine with a front-opening shirt and wide jeans, but I tried to create an elegant atmosphere unique to V-tip.

F.LLI.GIACOMETTI / FG461 MONKSTRAP SHOES

What got me into this brand was the Gurkha sandals, which are synonymous with F.LLI.GIACOMETTI. Since my first purchase, I now own a total of five pairs of items from the brand. I've mostly worn sandals, but this monk strap model was my first pair of shoes. I think it was love at first sight. The neat design, made from a loafer last, suited me well, as I usually wear shoes without laces. I was conscious of the color coordination that would highlight the tarnished, premium green suede "SUPER BUCK."

F.LLI.GIACOMETTI / FG562 COIN LOAFERS

F.LLI.GIACOMETTI is an essential brand for him. Its greatest appeal is its ready-to-wear shoes that are elegant yet powerful in appearance, designs that are reminiscent of bespoke shoes, and the presence of the craftsmen who are able to express these.
This time I chose a loafer model. The beautiful shape, from the semi-square toe to the back style, is eye-catching. I think it perfectly complements the compact jacket and voluminous pants set, the slightly unusual TOO SOON TO KNOW suit.

ALDEN / CORDVAN PLAIN TOE SHOES

I still vividly remember purchasing a pair of ALDEN cordovan tassel loafers in my early 20s, shortly after joining BEAMS and discovering my strong love for American casual style.
Clothing stores are sad creatures that want to collect all kinds of styles. After that, before I knew it, my shoebox was filled up. This is one of the important brands that is indispensable not only to me but also to BEAMS.
From my collection, I chose the classic model "990" that symbolizes ALDEN. It is a versatile pair of shoes that you can wear when you are in a pinch, and you can rely on it to look great. I kept it simple with a white band collar shirt and pleated chinos. I finished off the outfit with "990" shoes.
