This tea scoop is made by Takano Chikko, a company based in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, which handles everything from cultivating high-quality bamboo to harvesting and processing it.

White bamboo (madake) is painted orange with urethane paint, and the words BEAMS JAPAN are embossed in leather.
*While tea scoops in the "Rikyu style" are characterized by a groove called a "hi," Special order tea scoops use scoops without this groove.
*Please note that because the leather engraving is done by hand for each item, the finish will not be perfectly uniform.

Tea scoop (chashaku)
A long, slender spoon used to scoop matcha powder from a tea caddy or tea bowl and transfer it to a tea bowl.

[Care of the tea scoop]
Since this product is made by bending bamboo, it may deform or become moldy if exposed to moisture. Please be careful to avoid contact with water as much as possible.
Gently wipe off any matcha powder from the tea scoop with a tissue or soft cloth.
Please note that dishwashers and dryers are not available for use.
