Tomoo Gokita
Born in Tokyo in 1969, he gained attention in the late 1990s with his improvisational drawings, and solidified his position with his 2000 collection of works, "Lingerie Wrestling."
While he was once active in graphic design and illustration, in recent years he has pursued painting with black and white gouache. He has established a unique style that freely moves between figuration and abstraction. He has received high acclaim in various countries around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, and Berlin, and continues to exert an international influence at the forefront of contemporary art.
