This soba choko tumbler is packed with insulation using a "vacuum thermos structure" created by a thermos engineer and the tradition and techniques of a long-established lacquerware shop in Kyoto, founded in 1921.
Soba choko (small cup of sake cup) has been used since the Edo period to hold soba soup and dip soba noodles. It is a familiar type of tableware, a cylindrical container that is easy to hold with one hand, and can be used to hold soba soup, side dishes, and sake. This motif is based on this traditional vessel that has been loved as "everyday utensil" since ancient times.

This hybrid structure, combined with a "vacuum thermos structure," prevents heat conduction and air convection, keeping the contents cold or hot. Ice won't melt easily even in outdoor environments exposed to the elements, and hot foods stay warm, maintaining their deliciousness. What's more, you can hold hot foods in the thermos without removing them from your hand.
The product was created with the camping usage and handling in mind, and features a textured surface (fine pattern) that makes it non-slip and scratch-resistant. Its durability and lightness make it perfect for outdoor use. Even if it does get scratched, you can repair it with lacquer and continue using it for a long time.

To extend the life of the product, we recommend hand washing it in lukewarm water with a soft sponge, then wiping it dry with a soft cloth immediately after washing.
◯Please store the product in a place away from direct sunlight, as this may cause the paint to discolor.
◯In very rare cases, depending on your constitution, you may experience a rash from lacquer. If this occurs, please consult a specialist.
◯This product is finished by hand one by one. Due to the manufacturing process, there may be unevenness in the paint or bumps on the surface, but this does not mean the product is defective.
For quality control reasons, a hand-carved stamp (lot number) is stamped on the bottom of this product.
