<H H BRAND (Double H Brand)> (a brand of CAROLINA) Made in the USA, deadstock from the early 2000s. The same design as the tanker boots supplied to US military tank crews. The distinctive design, which uses leather straps that wrap around the boot instead of laces, looks stylish, but surprisingly, it was designed in 1937 and has remained almost unchanged since then. It is also highly practical when riding in a tank. Lace-up boots often loosen or come undone, and can get caught in the exposed moving parts of the tank, potentially dragging the wearer or parts of their body into the machinery. By changing to leather straps, these disadvantages were improved, and in emergencies, it became possible to easily put on and take off the boots by cutting a part of the leather strap with a knife.
