[Arita ware/Kiln: Bunshogama]
It is characterized by the use of bright, delicate colors such as indigo, red, yellow, and gold on the hard, durable, and transparent white porcelain.
In the early 17th century, Korean potter Sambei Kanegae I (commonly known as Lee Sampei) and others discovered pottery stone, the raw material for porcelain, in Izumiyama, Arita Town, and Japan's first full-scale production of porcelain began.
Approximately 400 years ago, it continues to produce a wide range of products from tableware to arts and crafts.
