This finger-painted candy glaze and white glaze pitcher was specially ordered from ONTAYAKI Leach. Mr. Bernard Leach, a ceramic artist who had a great influence on the Japanese folk art movement, left behind many works and designs when he stayed in Onta in 1951. Based on works from that time, they have been incorporated into modern techniques, and are an attractive masterpiece with the strength and presence that can only be achieved by handicrafts that convey the essence of ONTAYAKI and Leach.

[Precautions when using pottery]
Before using it for the first time, we recommend sealing it (soak it overnight in rice water or flour dissolved in water). Also, before serving food, pass it through water before use. It prevents odor and oil from sticking. After washing the utensils, please dry them before storing them.
