Dear Film Project respects the rich worldviews and spirit of photographers, re-edits them, and creates art media to pass on to future generations.

■Hideaki Sato
Born in Niigata in 1943, he graduated from Nihon University College of Art and began working as a freelance photographer. In 1967, he moved to New York. This trip marked the beginning of his travels, and he continued to travel the world, publishing his work in magazines and photogravure magazines. After returning to Japan in the fall of 1969, he began photographing surfing in Hawaii, becoming a pioneer of the surf boom. In the 1970s, he became active in the outdoor field, reporting on Japan's rivers by canoe with canoeist Tomosuke Noda. He now continues to photograph Japan's rain and hidden corners of Tokyo. His many publications include "Gaku's Adventure" (Book Magazine Publishing), "100 Miles to the Sea" (Shobunsha), a book with Yoshio Kataoka, "Requiem: The World Trade Center" (ICG MUSE), and "Legendary Hawaii" (Tokyo Shoseki).
The purpose is to upcycle film photographs. We have dug up the photographs taken by many photographers with rich sensibilities and perspectives during the boom period of paper media (1950s to 1990s), and have created paper media that can be called objects by valuing their fragrant emotions. Masu.
